Audits and Checklists
Auditing allows you to assess the Health and Safety performance of various aspects and parts of your business against a set of standard criteria. This would
typically lead to setting out a strategy for implementation or improvement of your Health and Safety management system. The Target 100 Self Audit allows you
to do this without external support or guidance. It can be completed by anyone, at anytime, in any part of your business.
Simple structure
The Target 100 Self Audit is split into 12 sections with approximately 130 questions. It should take no more than an hour to complete and you can do so in sections,
allowing you to save and return to the audit section by section.
The sections of the Self Audit are as follows;
-
Company Checklist
-
Safety Policy
-
Risk Assessment
-
Safe Systems Of Work
-
Accident Investigation
-

-

Straight forward questions
The Self Audit questions are set out in a simple and straight forward manner. You do not need previous Health and Safety training or experience to complete the audit.
Questions are accompanied by a description, providing you with additional information should you not understand a question. For example, the question below is from
the Company Checklist section of the Self Audit:
Have you got Employers' Liability Insurance and is the current certificate displayed on the wall?
There is a legal requirement for all employers to insure their employees against injury or occupational ill health whilst at work under the Employers' Liability
(Compulsory Insurance) Act 1969. Your insurer will provide you with a certificate of insurance that should be displayed in a prominent position.
Ready to use checklists
Target 100 includes over 60 generic checklists designed for use in a number of different Health and Safety areas. Questions are worded such that a 'yes' answer
contributes to a positive score. Each checklist produces a score, as a percentage, that indicates the overall performance in that area. Click here for more
information and a list of some of the checklists included.
