The level 5 NVQ in Management Health and Safety is a work-based qualification that is designed for persons who are in senior or strategic positions as Health
and Safety managers/officers/advisors and operate similar roles in relation to the control of the working environment.
Candidates are required to hold the Level 4 NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety Practice, or equivalent qualification.
This course has been designed essentially for those individuals who have responsibility for influencing policy and the management of resources and people.
At a time when there is a lot of discussion about ‘COMPETENCE’ this is a qualification that measures the competence of people who influence standards of health
and safety within organisations.
NVQs are widely accepted as being assets to any company wishing to increase the competence of its staff and the organisation.
They are viewed as building blocks upon which the success of your organisation can be built and are entirely consistent with other initiatives such as Investors
in People and OHSAS 18001.
Additionally, many insurance companies see NVQs as a key element to ensuring the competence of their clients’ staff when assessing Employers' Liability Insurance.
Business Safety Systems is widely accepted as one of the most successful NVQ providers in the UK with over 900 successful candidates.
All our assessors and verifiers are members of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and have experience in a wide range of working environments.
Candidates may also use our unique NVQ on-line system to help them with the process of putting together their portfolios.
